5th Hongqiao CIIE Forum Focuses on “Globally Opening Up”

The fifth Hongqiao International Economic Forum for China International Import Expo will focus on “opening up the world”, The Paper reported on Saturday.

Under the theme “Stimulating the momentum of opening up and sharing cooperation opportunities”, many highlights are expected from the sub-forums of this event.

Besides the main forum, or the opening ceremony of the CIIE and the Hongqiao Forum, a high-level forum titled “RCEP Stimulates Top-Level Opening” is scheduled to be held together with an international symposium on the release of the Global Openness Report 2022.

At the same time, many parallel forums should be held in three parts: “Openness: responsibilities and actions”, “Openness: governance mechanisms” and “Openness: sharing of achievements”.

The sub-forum on “China-Singapore Service Trade Innovation” under “Openness: Responsibilities and Actions” is scheduled to be held on November 6.

With the support of the Ministry of Commerce and the Ministry of Commerce and Industry of Singapore, four sessions of “China-Singapore Service Business Innovation” have already been successfully held.

This year’s sub-forum will further set international economic and trade rules as a benchmark and communicate on topics such as building pilot free trade zones, China-Singapore digital business cooperation, opening up the service sector. , construction of digital infrastructures and cooperation – data flows at borders.

During the forum, parallel activities are planned, including the international roundtable for multinational enterprises, sub-forums on supply chain and business innovation, and international medical services, as well as the fourth summit of the Jinji Lake Modern Service Industry and Jinji Lake Enterprise Summit Forum.

Senior executives from a number of multinational enterprises will be invited to gather at the forum to promote alignment of trade in services and promote practical cooperation, according to the report.
