Ahsoka would star Sabine Wren

the Star Wars: Ahsoka The series would feature Sabine Wrenn in a lead role opposite Rosario Dawson’s Ahsoka Tano. Sabine Wren has been rumored to Ahsoka for quite some time, but it’s only now that we hear a significant drop in trade mentioning that Lucasfilm is actively playing the role of this Ahsoka series. This is a bit of a big deal, as character roster rumors have increasingly indicated that this Ahsoka series was sort of a sequel to the Star Wars Rebels animated series, which ended on a major cliffhanger for the greats Star wars cannon.

The new update on Sabine Wren as a leader in Ahsoka comes from a report on What if … from Marvel? series just released on Disney +. THR noted that animation became a suitable launching pad for characters to then be adapted to major live-action brands, noting examples like Harley Quinn or Ahsoka Tano, both of which started in Batman animation projects. and Star Wars (respectively), before becoming so popular that they adapted into live-action franchises. The same list of examples notes the following about Sabine Wren:

“Now Dawson is directing a live-action Ahsoka spin-off for Disney +, with sources saying Lucasfilm is looking for an actress to star opposite Dawson as Mandalorian warrior Sabine Wren.”

Sabine Wren was a Mandalorian who first appeared in Star Wars Rebels as a member of the “Specters”, one of the earliest (and best) cells of resistance fighters that spawned the Galactic Rebellion. RebelsThe final season saw the Specters unite with the Biggest Rebellion through their partnership with Ahsoka Tano and Senator Bail Organa, but a crucial conflict fractured the group just before the battle for the first Death Star began. . Jedi Knight Kanan Jarus is killed in action, and his mighty padawan Ezra Bridger sacrificed himself in the far reaches of hyperspace in order to prevent Grand Admiral Thrawn from decimating the rebellion. The rest of the Specters lived through the Galactic Civil War by fighting the Empire in different ways, but an epilogue from Rebels showed that after the war, Ahsoka and Sabine teamed up to find Ezra Bridger and bring him home.

The moment when Ahsoka and Sabine embarked on their mission is not yet so fixed in canon that it cannot be reconnected in the setup for it. Ahsoka series. Ahsoka appeared in The Mandalorian season 2 still in search of Grand Admiral Thrawn, a few years after the fall of the Empire. Other Ahsoka casting rumors go so far as to say that Lucasfilm once played the roles of Thrawn and Ezra in secret, for their big “surprise” comeback in Ahsoka.

Since Ahsoka will be shaped by some of the main creators of Rebels (the same who brought Clone wars characters to the Mandalorian), the idea of Ahsoka be a Rebels the rest is almost confirmed, at this point.

Star Wars: Ahsoka is currently in the early stages of production.
