The Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority (Bepza) has called for more South Korean investment in the country’s export processing zones.

Bepza Executive Chairman Major General Abul Kalam Mohammad Ziaur Rahman made the appeal during the visit of South Korean Ambassador to Bangladesh Lee Jang-keun to Dhaka EPZ today.

Seeking more South Korean investments in EPZs and Bepza Economic Zone, Bepza Executive Chairman said the authority always prioritizes South Korean investors’ business concerns to run their affairs smoothly. in EPZs.

The ambassador assured Bepza to provide the best support to increase South Korean investments in EPZs and the Bepza economic zone, a press release from Bepza said.

He also praised the role of the Bepza in the economic development of Bangladesh and expressed satisfaction with the overall peaceful production-oriented environment that prevails in the country’s EPZs.

Later, Jang-keun and Major General Ziaur Rahman inaugurated the “KOICA Vision Center” established for the treatment of eye diseases at EPZ Hospital in Dhaka.

The Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) set up this vision center to provide free eye care services to ZFE workers.
