India’s observer status raises questions over its IPEF plans

India only participated as an observer in the recently concluded Indo-Pacific Economic Framework (IPEF) chaired by US Trade Representative (USTR) Catherine Tai. Experts say India may not yet be ready to fully engage in ongoing talks to finalize the outlines of a trade deal between the 14-member IPEF, led by the United States. .
