Jakarta (ANTARA) – The Institute of Deposit Insurance (LPS) will support the Bloomberg CEO Forum 2022, to be held on the sidelines of Indonesia’s G20 Presidency later this year.
This support was confirmed by the signing and sponsorship launch event of the Bloomberg CEO Forum 2022 held here on July 19, 2022.
The initiative reflects LPS’s commitment to making the G20 more relevant and important, LPS Chief Executive Lana Soelistianingsih said in an official statement released on Friday.
The G20 is an international forum of 19 countries working together to address major issues. Indonesia holds the presidency of the grouping this year.
Soelistianingsih also praised the Bloomberg team for providing a platform to encourage discussions on global priorities.
The Bloomberg CEO Forum is considered an important meeting involving renowned CEOs from around the world and is expected to bring real investment to Indonesia.
LPS believes that the 2022 forum will facilitate the transition to a green economy and the development of smart green cities, especially in the new Indonesian capital.
Moreover, the forum should become a catalyst for investments in the health sector.
Soelistianingsih said she expects the event to help bring the partnership between LPS and Bloomberg closer to the G20 goals of 2022 as well as in the years to come.
Indonesia has urged G20 countries to take concrete action and expects the same outcome from the Bloomberg CEO Forum.
The signing event was attended by Soelistianingsih as well as Bloomberg representatives, namely Southeast Asia Sales Director David Hearn and Southeast Asia Sales Director Kavitha Subramanyam.
According to the G20 side events website, the Bloomberg CEO Forum 2022 is scheduled to be held in Denpasar, Bali on November 11-12, 2022.
