Qatar Free Zone signs MoU with Korea Economic Zone Planning Office

Doha: The Qatar Free Zones Authority (QFZA) signed a memorandum of understanding with the Korean Economic Zone Planning Bureau, in order to contribute to the economic development of the two countries through the mutual cooperation between the free zones of Qatar and the Korean Free Economic Zones (KFEZ).

The agreement was signed by QFZA Deputy Director General Abdullah Al Misnad and Republic of Korea Free Economic Zone Planning Bureau Director General Sung-il Ahn.

The signing ceremony was attended by HE Minister of State and Chairman of QFZA Ahmad bin Mohammed Al Sayed, HE Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy of the Republic of Korea Moon Sung-wook , HE Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Qatar Lee Joon Ho, in addition to several senior officials from QFZA and the Republic of Korea.

The signing was followed by an introductory visit to the Ras Bufontas Free Zone and Business and Innovation Park to present the advanced infrastructure and services offered to investors in the Free Zones.

According to the MoU, QFZA and KFEZ will cooperate in several areas, including sharing policies and good practices to attract investment and cooperation to establish networks between companies located in each zone.
