SIDBI and DICCI complete 16 “Swavalamban Sankalp – MEGA CAMPAIGN” webinars to promote the Stand-Up India program
New Delhi, March 20 (KNN) The Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI), along with the Dalit Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DICCI) have successfully completed 16 webinar episodes of ‘Swavalamban Sankalp – MEGA CAMPAIGN’, a series of a program of outreach and one-day business opportunities to give a Fillip to the Stand-Up India (SUI) program – a flagship program of the Government of India (GoI) to empower unserved / underserved segments of women and SC-ST .
V Satya Venkata Rao, Deputy Managing Director of SIDBI, said on Friday: “Swavalamban Sankalp – Mega Campaign tries to ignite the Swavalambi spark among the targeted youth and SC-ST entrepreneurs. Happy to see him evolve with each next program. Today, in addition to sharing experiences by bankers on the bankability and outlines of the program, the invited companies presented their franchise models, while successful entrepreneurs from Stand-Up India also shared their inspiring journey for aspirants.
As of November 27, 2020, the webinar series take place every Friday at 4:00 p.m. and the goal is to complete 24 webinars. Yesterday’s webinar focused on a new franchise business opportunity in the automotive industry where a commercial franchisor V Thyagavel of Manatec Electronics Pvt. Ltd. was invited with Babita Rani who is the owner of M / s Babita Enterprises and is a SUI success story.

The Stand-Up Mitra portal, which was established by SIDBI under the leadership of the Financial Services Department of the Ministry of Finance, to launch the national mission of the Stand-Up India program, has successfully registered more than 1.12 lakh in sanctions. for loans over 25,000 rupees. crore as of March 19, 2021. The portal was launched in April 2016 by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to extend online financial assistance to the target segment of society without the need to go to a bank branch and apply for a loan online as part of the Indian Diet Stand-Up.
The Stand-Up India program aims to ensure access to unserved / underserved segments of women and Scheduled Castes (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST) based in India by providing them with financial assistance ranging from Rs. 10 lakh to Rs 1 crore for setting up entirely new (new) business creation.
