Sri Mulyani, Governor of BI, to lead meeting on G20 finance track

TEMPO.CO, JakartaFinance Minister Sri Mulyani has stated that she will lead the G20 Summit agenda of the finance track with Bank of Indonesia Governor Perry Warjiyo as Indonesia will host the G20 Presidency in 2022.

“Several priority agendas at the finance track meeting will start to be discussed in December of this year,” Sri said on his personal Instagram account @smiindrawati on Thursday, September 16.

The discussion includes the design of policies for economic recovery, post-pandemic effects, central bank digital currency, support for sustainable finance, cross-border payment systems, financial inclusion of the digital sector and MSMEs, as well. than international tax agreements.

The former managing director of the World Bank hopes that the presidency of the G20 will be beneficial not only for Indonesia but also for the world. “Especially to help poor and developing countries,” she added.

The 150 G20 Summit meetings will be held from December 1, 2021 to November 30, 2022, adopting a hybrid method given the COVID-19 pandemic situation. The peak agenda was originally planned in Bali.

Sri Mulyani said the G20 is playing a real role and initiative to address and overcome various global issues. The presidency of the G20 in 2022 will have the main theme “Recover Together, Recover Stronger”.
