Successful issue of a 10-year bond issue of 300 million euros bearing interest at 1,000%
Wendel has successfully placed a bond loan of 300 million euros maturing in June 2031 and bearing interest at 1000%.
The issue was very well received by investors and was oversubscribed approximately 3 times. The bonds were mainly placed with French (46%), German and Austrian (37%) and British (10%) investors.
The proceeds of this issuance will be used for general corporate purposes, including for the early redemption of the entire bond maturing in April 2023 in accordance with their full redemption provisions. Redemption is subject to the success of the 2031 bond issue.
These two transactions will allow Wendel to extend the maturity of its debt to 5.6 years while maintaining its nominal gross debt at € 1,600 million.

BNP Paribas, HSBC, Mediobanca and Société Générale acted as active bookkeepers for the bond issue as well as CIC, Crédit Agricole CIB, Goldman Sachs Bank Europe and Natixis who acted as passive bookkeepers.
